Most famous for the Shakori Hills Grassroots Music Festival held every spring and fall, it has much of the infrastructure needed to support and sustain a community arts center. There is a permanent stage, a well-kept barn (known as the Coffee Barn), campgrounds, the Nonagon, ticket booth, security booth, parking gate booth, three concession stands, nice gravel roads, a shower house, a new permanent bathroom structure, a general store, deep-well drinking-water, and a whole lot of beauty.

Team members are signing up similar to individuals, except they will be on a team. The reason we do this is there is a specific cost per participant. Each relay participant is also scored as an individual in the 4 mile results with individual awards. For example if you run the fastest 4 mile split in the relay, you will be awarded 1st
